Sheki Park

We’re a family of five and agreed to take a triple room with two extra beds because there were no rooms for five. The hotel confirmed ahead of time that it would be set up for us. At check-in at 15:17, though, the room was prepared for only three: two blankets, one small towel, and toiletries for three people. I called reception right away about the beds, called again later, then tried a third time at 17:47. The response was a rude, “You’re going to sleep already?” I’d been traveling, was exhausted, and had nowhere to sleep. About 10-20 minutes later another staff member called to check if we’d received the beds. We said no and explained, and he promised they’d come “right now.” Nothing happened between 17:47 and 19:00. We went down to reception for a fourth attempt, and at 19:06 a female manager brought two heavy foldable beds herself. The staff didn’t bring them. At the desk they said they were fully booked because a large group of Chinese tourists had just arrived. We asked if that meant foreign guests were being prioritized over locals. They didn’t directly deny it. If they can’t handle the number of guests, they shouldn’t overbook or promise services they can’t provide. We also had to buy our own garbage bags and take out the trash ourselves. We’d ordered food by phone in advance, but it wasn’t prepared when we came to collect it. Customer service was lacking, while the Chinese guests received full attention. Very disappointing. We’ll never return.
