They say the apartments are part of the same group with several properties, but my booking was for “Old Baku Check-In Hotel” through booking.com, and that wasn't what I found. After taking my payment, the hotel guy drove me about ten minutes to a different address. It turned out to be an apartment at the back of a building, reached through a dirty corridor with a really unpleasant feel. There was no hotel there at all. The hotel guy agreed to a full refund because of the mix-up and inconvenience, and I'm requesting that refund.

The pool was a big hit with our three kids, and the staff were really friendly. We also loved the art deco interior, and the food was brilliant. It made for one of our best family holidays.

With breakfast included, I still had to pay 3 euros for a coffee. For the price, I expected better. The room was very dirty: there was poop in the toilet, and the sheets had toilet paper, lots of stains, and body hair. The sink was filthy too.
