White Boutique Hotel Gabala

This isn’t really a hotel. The best way I can describe it is a clean hostel. There was no service, no water in the room, and no breakfast. I’ll share a photo of what they served for breakfast. It’s also very far from the city. To buy anything, you have to drive more than 30 minutes to reach town. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The villa-style rooms are spacious, and we loved the atmosphere and beautiful, peaceful mountain setting. I don’t really understand all the bad reviews. Breakfast was traditional cuisine, which was a pleasant change, and the prices felt very reasonable given the high demand. We’d love to come back. Don’t let the bad reviews put you off, or you might miss out.

We booked this place as part of a tour package for our anniversary, and it was the worst place anyone could choose. Getting there meant about 25 minutes on a road in terrible condition. The service was poor, and the room smelled awful. Breakfast was a scam: just some bread that gave your mouth a workout and an omelette soaked in oil. The dust in the room was so bad you could use it to clear your sinuses by sneezing your brains out. We left early the next morning. Our tour guide apologized and gave us a discount on the package.

The only good part was the outside setting. The room service wasn’t satisfactory, hygiene was very poor, and the WC smelled bad. Breakfast wasn’t an open buffet. There was no water boiler, so I asked for one, but the one they brought had what looked like a lot of sodium inside and didn’t seem fit for people to use. The tea kettle had a black spot inside. Laundry wasn’t included for guests, and the bed was two single beds pushed together.
