Hotela Rekic Bihac

The room was on the small side, and the furniture and other stuff didn't seem new, but it worked just fine. It was clean, which matters most to me. The hotel is compact, the food was really good, and the staff were welcoming and kind. Basically, it had the things that matter.

The wellness area was freezing, including the pool water, despite being described to us as heated. It was also often closed for private bookings, so hotel guests could lose access despite having paid for it. Breakfast was very poor for us, though taste is personal. We spent seven days at Hotel Rekic, and the bathroom light stopped working on the first day. We reported it, but it was never fixed. Fresh towels only came when requested, with the hotel saying it was too busy. On day one there were only paper towels in a dispenser, so we had to buy our own toilet paper. The room was noisy, with sounds from the hall and neighboring rooms carrying through. Weekend weddings kept music going until 3 a.m., making sleep impossible. The ancient air conditioning was so loud we couldn't stay in the room while it was running. The doors also need renovation: the bathroom door wouldn't close, and locking the room door with its outdated key took 2-3 frustrating minutes each time. This was a major disappointment and doesn't meet what I expect from a 4-star hotel. I can't recommend Hotel Rekic. A full overhaul and better management are urgently needed, and our stay was far from pleasant.

The room was clean and the small hotel is nice, with friendly staff. Just be aware there's no kettle or iron provided, so bring your own.

The food is amazing, you really have to try it. The hotel wellness spa is amazing too. Go visit this place!
