I stayed at Pansion Porta longer than planned while waiting to hear about a job in Australia, so I got to know the family well. They’re lovely people, and it’s a really great place to stay. Meals are excellent, especially the Hungarian dishes, and they use local produce, fish, and meat. There’s also a bar area that’s a great spot to meet other guests. You won’t be disappointed.

Medjugorje is a special place, full of religious devotion, and a great base for exploring the area: Krizovac, Apparition Hill, Mostar, Blagaj, and Pocitelj. Our hosts did everything to make us comfortable, and we felt like family. I remember Aunt Kati and Daniel with great warmth.

They speak Hungarian and English, and they’re kind. The room had a balcony, everything was very clean, and there’s plenty of parking. Dinner was generous, and drinks are included in the price. This is what excellent service looks like.

The owner is helpful and helpful. The accommodation, though, was very unsuitable: it’s on a noisy main road, far from the center, and cramped. There was no closet, table, or shelf, so nowhere to put a suitcase. Getting into the narrow shower is awkward because the toilet limits access.
