That lamb was the one letdown: it came out too tough and chewy, and I really wanted it piping hot, not just warm. The soup, on the other hand, was full of flavor and exactly what I’d hoped for. Maksumić has a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere, and the toilets were exceptionally clean and well maintained. A few small things kept the meal from being perfect, but I still had a pleasant visit and would give it four stars.

The jagnetina was cold, and I didn’t get the cuts I’d asked for. When I raised it, the waitress wouldn’t admit it was her mistake. We came just before Iftar and were seated, but the meal wasn’t good quality. People were smoking inside too. 👎

Breakfast had several options in the buffet, and there’s a large parking lot. The rooms are small, clean, and equipped with AC. This is a small motel with a big restaurant near Jablanica. Our first night, though, was pretty noisy: a wedding celebration in the restaurant disturbed us, and the noise carried on until 02.30. After the celebration, staff were also very noisy while setting up tables.

We always pull in here on our way to south of Bosnia. It’s a good rest stop, with food that should suit meat lovers. The lamb is freshly barbecued.

The staff were really friendly, and the local food selection is good with very reasonable prices. We stopped for lunch on our way to Sarajevo, then came by again on the return trip. I’d recommend it to anyone traveling along this road.
