The staff were easily the best part: very friendly, attentive, and always ready to help or share information. But for a hotel advertised as four stars, the facilities and our room fell short, especially for the price in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We were on the third floor in a narrow attic room with a sloped ceiling. Its roof windows barely opened, leaving little fresh air, and we had to prop one open with a pillow. The toilet area had a noticeable smell. There was no proper wardrobe for hanging clothes, and the badly positioned, sloping shower sent water toward the door, soaking the floor every time we used the bathroom. The sauna took a long time to warm up but never got comfortable. It smelled strong and felt so cramped that two people could barely fit, let alone breathe comfortably. When we arrived, none of the pool jets or lights were on. Breakfast was barely enough: the room was extremely small, with just one table about two meters long and very limited food.

Our top-floor room under the roof was very large, with a couch, a basin, and a skylight for extra light. The two smaller windows were down at floor level behind the couch. It was cool while we were there, so the ventilation was enough, though I’m not sure it would be in summer. I assume there’s air conditioning, but the young man at reception didn’t know. We stayed four nights. The hotel is a 15-minute walk from the flat part of the Old Town, with an uphill walk back. There’s only a tiny market a couple of streets away, and restaurants are in the Old Town, so not much is close by. Breakfast was just okay. Reception staff were friendly and polite, though at times they didn’t seem to know much.

Two years after my friend left her camera battery at the hotel, they still had it and arranged for her to get it back when a friend visited. They’d tried to ship it to us, but regulations got in the way. Huge thanks to Hamza for such thoughtful customer care. The hotel was clean and quiet, with a spacious room, a convenient location, and a great breakfast. The front desk was warm and helpful.

The rooms are cozy, the staff are lovely and helpful, and the neighborhood feels relaxed and cozy too. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Sarajevo.

The room, 305 at the top, was lovely, and we were happy with our stay. The standout was Ali at reception. His warmth and five-star service are rare in hotels, and I hope management knows what an asset he is. My mother was nervous driving and struggled with the parking, but Ali helped so enthusiastically that we left all the parking to him. It was a pleasure seeing his positive attitude each day. Faruk was excellent too, kind, helpful, and respectful. For the price, breakfast needs work. The fried eggs were cold every day, and there were few good fruit and vegetable options. If you're driving, I'd check with the hotel beforehand because you may not want to follow the Google Maps route.
