Hotel Villa Orient

A couple of things to know: the hotel only takes cash, in euro or km, and they make sure you can get in easily if you arrive late. It’s also close to the main places, including the bazar, mosque, and museums. Staff and the security guard were super helpful and kind. The hotel itself is pretty ordinary, with a few minor bits of wear, like one slat out of place in my bed. Breakfast had Bosnian coffee, bread with cheese and ham, plus yogurt, cereal, and jams.

Berin and Hana welcomed us so warmly. They’re wonderful hosts who listen to their guests. The hotel is in a great spot in Sarajevo’s old town, near Pigeon Square, and the rooms are clean and good value. I had a great time there this summer and can only recommend it. :-)

I’ve stayed here twice, and the location in the heart of the Old City food quarter is hard to beat. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with air con, and there’s parking available. Breakfast is decent and the staff are friendly. It’s a 3-star place, so keep that in mind, but it’s done well. The price isn’t even that much for the location and amenities.

The staff were friendly, and the bed was okay, but there wasn’t much to like beyond that. Breakfast was nothing special, the bathroom could have been cleaner for a hotel, and the WiFi was very bad. For the same price, I had a really nice stay at a big 4 stars hotel in Mostar. I also got a very clean, comfortable, spacious apartment near the Sarajevo bus/rail station for half this hotel’s price. I’d stay here only if I couldn’t find a nicer place for the same price in old town Sarajevo, or if nearby hotels were all full.
