Walter Hotel

Getting to the city centre, Baščaršija, takes about 45 minutes by tram. The hotel itself wasn’t great, and the cleanliness seemed questionable.

The hotel restaurant felt like a student cafeteria, and the place wasn’t very clean. It’s far from the city centre, and the room windows had no curtains. Calling this a 4 star hotel is a joke. Avoid.

Adalı Tour brought us here, but I wouldn’t recommend staying. The rooms felt more like a dormitory, and the bathrooms and toilets were filthy. They weren’t cleaned, and hygiene in general was a problem. The rooms were dirty too. The curtain was so thin that people outside could see in when the light was on, which felt disturbing, and the windows wouldn’t open all the way. I couldn’t tell if the air conditioning worked. The refrigerator barely worked and had a strange system, while the “dryer” was really just a heater with a heating element. The elevators were awful. One wasn’t working, and the other made so much noise you could hear it from the room. Breakfast was terrible, with no variety and nothing edible. When we asked for a first aid kit, they said they didn’t have one. They said the same when we asked for ice, and weren’t helpful with anything. The person at reception acted like they were anti-Muslim. This hotel doesn’t deserve even one star.

We were there for a few days and found it okay, just an average hotel with nothing special about it. One morning the coffee machine broke, and it stayed out of order for the rest of our stay. They didn’t offer another option. They could have made coffee and put it in a bowl, but seemed too lazy to do anything.
