You can rent the place for a stay, but when we visited it was locked. It’s run by Sutjeska National Park, and maps wrongly label it as a mountain lodge. There’s no electricity, and the water is outside. Orlovačko Lake is nearby. You reach it by gravel road from Kalinovik to Čemerno.

The birdsong and clean air give the place a special feel. The apartment was pleasant, spotless, and very well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts were kind and never intrusive. I’d definitely recommend coming to experience this little paradise.

The owner seems like an honest guy, and the apartment has everything you need. The building looks old and a bit unpromising from outside, very much from the Tito era, but once inside, everything else is really up to par. It’s a candy-striped place.

We were given a very warm welcome, and the apartment had everything we needed for our two-week stay. It’s set in the middle of a nature park, and the price for what you get is excellent.
