A family member booked this place through VRBO months ahead for the week between Christmas and New Years. It had good reviews on AirBnB, VRBO, and Google, but about a month before the trip the host canceled for what seemed like a bogus reason. VRBO refunded us, but that left us scrambling during the busiest time of year with flights and plans already set. We were lucky to find another place somehow, and it wasn't much more expensive. Be careful with this host. They weren't trustworthy, and you could end up without a place to stay.
Maria has been a huge help with advice and arrangements over the past few months. Covid protocols brought some ups and downs, but she sorted out fast tracks, taxis, shopping, and even tried to chase up our covid results. She's a top host. The villa was immaculate, and Sophia was lovely, discreet, and great. What you see is what you get, and I'd absolutely recommend the place for families or couples. It's a great spot, with the beach a short walk away and a bus stop at the end of the road. Thanks, Maria. I'm sure you'll hear from us again.
We spent ten days at GGV with eight adults and were already planning another visit before we flew home. Gibbs Glade Villa is a little paradise if you want to relax and get away. The open living area, outdoor terrace lounge, and al fresco dining space work well for a family or group. For a bit of alone time, there are shady corners and sunny seats around the magnificent pool. Every bedroom has an en-suite bath, and the rooms are much nicer in person than the website photos suggest. The kitchen has everything you might need, and the daily staff keep the villa immaculate and are super friendly. The location is handy, just a short walk from the beach, with Holetown and Speitztown only minutes away in either direction. There's so much to see and do, plus terrific restaurants around Gibbs Bay and the Platinum coast. What I loved most was how open the house is to nature. Warm breezes move through, and everyone seemed to head straight for the huge back terrace and sink into a comfy couch for a long, happy exhale. You won't want to leave, I promise. G McIsaac. Best place I've ever stayed, and we've been twice. Amazing villa and brilliant staff. The pool nearly flooded once, but they got it sorted quickly.
Just the right amount of room and comfort for our sisters' getaway. We could be ourselves, unwind, spend time together, and get pampered.
