Maxwell Beach Apartment

My family stayed here during their visit, and we spent two afternoons on the beach and swimming in the pool. They love it and book every year, so they must really enjoy their stays. The apartments are very nice and have everything you need. It’s a great beachfront location, and convenient for getting to Oistins or just about anywhere on the south coast.

Waking up to the ocean and that breathtaking view was dreamy. I loved Maxwell Villas and highly recommend it. The area felt less touristy than other places and was perfectly located. The fish market and supermarket are within walking distance, and buses stop right outside on the road. On arrival, we got rum punch and coconut cake, a lovely touch. The staff were very friendly, especially Andrew, who I enjoyed chatting with most mornings. Thank you for a great stay!

We found it easy to get around by taxi and reggae bus, even without renting a car. Several restaurants are within walking distance, too. The unit was perfect for us, the air conditioning worked great, and the staff were friendly. A great stay!

We stayed in Maxwell Suite 501 in late February and early March 2025, and I absolutely loved it. The balcony was fantastic, with a dining table, two lounge chairs, a couch and ottoman, plus two drying racks for towels and bathing suits. There’s a beautiful ocean view over the palm trees, and a steady breeze. I never had a problem with mosquitos and could sit out there listening to the waves. The beach is nice, though there isn’t much of it left when the tide comes in late in the day, but there are still spots to sit. The pool area is a good size and never felt crowded. The suite was very clean, and Yonette and all the other staff at Maxwell were fantastic. There’s plenty close by: Massy Supermarket, Oistens Fish Fry, and Surfers bay, where we had a great breakfast, are a 10 minute walk away. Bus stops are just outside the front door. The city bus runs along the main road, and the smaller ZR's, for $3.50 Barbados, can take you to lots of beaches and restaurants. The ZR's start honking around 7:30am, but that didn’t bother me because I was listening to the ocean. I brought too much because the suite had so many things I hadn’t expected. The coffee maker has a reusable, washable filter basket, so there’s no need for paper filters. The large linen closet had all the towels, beach towels, sheets, face cloths, and hand towels we could need. The laundry room was great and the machines worked well. Appliances all worked properly, and the kitchen had cloths, dish soap, pots, pans, dishes, knives, cutlery, and plenty of glasses. The fridge even had filtered water and a built in ice machine. So fantastic! Inside, the living area has a couch, comfortable chair, TV, and radio with a CD player, among other things, though I never spent time there. The weather and view were too nice to stay indoors. Both bedrooms are a good size, with dressers and nightstands and plenty of clothing space. The walk in closets are amazing, with lots of hanging room, shelves, and a safe. The air conditioning, fans, and WiFi all worked very well. I’ll definitely return to this beautiful island and its friendly people!
