Dover Woods Guest House

The layout gives you plenty of room, with a spacious main lounge and another conservatory type room off it. There's an open plan kitchen that's fully equipped, along with a dining area. Sleeping arrangements include one large double bedroom, another bedroom with 2 single beds, and a sofa bed in the main lounge. It's a great apartment in a great location, about 5 minutes walk to the beach with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Communication with the hosts was great.

The apartment was an easy choice for our week in Barbados, and we were very happy with it. It was clean, comfortable, modern and spacious, with the amenities that made it feel like home: Wi-Fi, 4K International TV, 3 AC units, USB wall outlets in the bedrooms, a modern washroom, Board Games, Washer/Dryer, and even a supplied Cooler beach bag. Dover Beach is an easy walk away, with plenty of great restaurants and shops nearby. Dover Market is handy for day 1 essentials, though we'd suggest a taxi or drive to Tri-Mart for the rest of what you need. Check-in was probably the easiest we've had at a vacation apartment. Michelle sent thorough instructions for the self lead process, and the Door and Gate codes made it feel secure and effortless. Michelle was attentive and easy to reach over WhatsApp. Before we arrived, she readily arranged for the two twin beds in the second room to be pushed together as a King. The living room AC had a problem on our first evening, but by 10AM the next morning she'd called a technician, and cool air was back quickly. Our one suggestion for improvement is to provide detergent for at least one load of laundry. That doesn't change our positive feelings about or recommendation for the apartment.

We took a trip to Barbados two weeks ago and weren't looking for a hotel, since I'm honestly not a big fan of them. We found Dover Woods Apartments on Expedia, looked at the pictures, and decided to give it a try. The photos were accurate, and the place felt like home away from home. It was clean when we arrived, and we were greeted with Rum Punch, which we drank almost immediately... lol. Michelle was very apologetic and explained the improvements being done when we arrived and saw work on the parking lot, which I appreciated. There was parking on the side street, so it wasn't an inconvenience. The area is very quiet even though St. Lawrence Gap, party central, is within walking distance. There was a beautiful, open kitchen, AC throughout, spacious bedrooms (two of them), ample closet space, and a washer and dryer combo. Barbados can get hot at times, so the AC was needed. I could go on about the positives forever. I'll include photos, and we'll be back next year. Thank you for your hospitality, Michelle Bowe. We'll definitely come back again... 10/10 stars.

The shower was nice, the bed was comfy, and the fridge kept things cold. The apartment was clean and modern, with good WiFi and quiet aircon. It's close to amenities and the beach, and I'd recommend it.
