Sea Pearl Beach Resort & Spa Cox's Bazar

The airport shuttle was probably the worst part. The bus was dirty and smelled bad, and the seats were terrible. Even someone of average height couldn’t sit comfortably, making the ride really unpleasant. Common areas like the lobby and waiting areas were also hot because the air conditioning wasn’t on. For a resort selling itself as a luxury destination, Sea Pearl Beach Resort & Spa Cox's Bazar was far from what I expected. The food quality and taste were pathetic, and nowhere near what you’d expect at this level. Staff seemed indifferent and often unhelpful when concerns came up. The cappuccino I ordered was flat and flavorless. When I politely asked the barista to make it stronger, he lectured me about how cappuccino is made instead of fixing it. There were maintenance problems in the room both nights. The AC didn’t work properly the first night, leaving the room extremely uncomfortable, and the water heater stopped on the second. During Seheri in Ramadan, staff declined our request for drinking water, which was shocking for a hospitality business. Several advertised facilities were unavailable or poorly managed. The salon was closed, so even basic grooming like shaving wasn’t available. The gym was only partly operational, and steam and sauna facilities weren’t available. Badminton and billiards closed at 10 PM, which felt ridiculous for a holiday resort where guests want late-night recreation. The resort charges luxury prices but delivers poor service, maintenance and facility management. I can’t recommend it to anyone expecting a comfortable resort stay in Cox’s Bazar.

I expected much better guest care and service from a five-star hotel. Unfortunately, my stay didn’t live up to the standard associated with that category. I hope management takes a serious look at the service and works to improve it.

I gave five stars mainly because my family vacation came with a discounted offer price. The staff were polite and cordial, and room service was excellent. Whenever we needed something, reception quickly sent someone to sort it out. The staff were very family-friendly, too. Breakfast was excellent in my opinion, with almost 30 different items. Be sure to check the shuttle service’s pick-up and drop-off options, and book early to avoid unnecessary problems.

The atmosphere was calm, and the staff were excellent, very helpful and cooperative. We enjoyed our time and had a wonderful stay. The only issue was on the 14th and 15th, when lots of people from GP made breakfast crowded and noisy.
