The appearance and surroundings of THE ELITE RESIDENCE looked really good at first, and its location close to the airport suited my family, who were traveling to the US. We checked in on April 16, 2026 for three nights. Even though it's been over a month, I wanted to share how disappointing the stay was. At around 5,000-6,000 BDT per room, I expected much better food and service. Breakfast was sparse and below standard, with the feel of a low quality hotel breakfast despite the premium look outside. Management and service felt very poor from the first hour, almost as if a third party was running the hotel. The room keys failed repeatedly. Each time I asked for help, there was another excuse about fixing, replacing, or finding the key. Even when I left mine at the desk so I wouldn't lose it outside, it took ages to get the right one back. Room service also took so long when I needed something urgently that I began to wonder whether anyone was coming. The phone in the room didn't work, and they couldn't fix it. The hotel has potential because it looks good and the environment is genuinely nice, but with weak management, room service, and food, I wouldn't recommend it or visit again.

We paid 4300Tk through booking.com, but they don't take card payments, only bKash or cash. The photos and some reviews didn't match the property at all. The lighting, surroundings, rooms, and cleanliness were much worse than expected. Since it was our first visit, they offered us a bigger room, but the first one hadn't been cleaned after the previous guests. The upgraded alternative was very bad: cockroaches and bugs were crawling around, the walls had water marks and peeling paint, and there was a strong smoking smell in a room supposed to be non-smoking. They insisted it was coming from outside, though it was stronger inside. I asked to go back to the original room. It looked better and seemed cleaner, but still wasn't up to standard. With no other option, we accepted it. The sheets were stained, the floor didn't seem properly swept, especially in the corners, and there were spider webs and dust around the furniture. There was a strange bottle of colored liquid beside the basin in the toilet that we didn't want to investigate. The toilet wasn't very good either, with tile stains suggesting the floor hadn't been scrubbed properly. I haven't stayed in many low budget places in Dhaka, so can't say how it compares, but it was definitely below expectations.

For its price, this was the worst hotel in Dhaka. There were safety and cleanliness issues, and breakfast was cold and a major letdown. The buffet breakfast that had been advertised wasn't available either.

In a quiet residential spot, this is a comfortable, safe, quiet, budget friendly place. For 3500 BDT, I'd call the service good. The room had AC, though it didn't work as well as it should. The TV remote didn't work, there was no hairdryer in the bathroom, and for the complimentary drinks they gave only green and black tea, no coffee. I'd recommend it only if that sort of simple stay is what you're after.

I chose to accept the situation since I was only staying for a week, though the room and length of stay were both wrong when I arrived. The hotel hadn't recognized my Agoda booking, so I showed the voucher at check-in. The system seemed very cheap, and the room was fine only for sleeping. There was no refrigerator or safe, and bringing in my own food wasn't allowed. Even though I said I wouldn't bring food, they prepared only one breakfast, which was stale toast and coffee. Breakfast was prepared on the other days, and tasted ordinary. The food variety seemed normal for the price. After the room was made up, the bath and face towels were left behind. I called the front desk, but they didn't bring them until I called again. On my last day the door lock broke, perhaps because of a sensor failure, though I don't know. I waited about an hour in the lobby for it to be fixed. I've never had this experience at another hotel. Would I stay again? Probably, because it's cheap.
