Tiger Garden International Hotel

I’d strongly advise against booking here. The room interior was dirty even right after I entered and they had cleaned it, and there was cockroach poop on the chair. The bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned, and the AC didn’t work well. On my second day they didn’t provide room service or clean the room and bathroom, and there were no clean towels, soap, or shampoo. Staff just stood around and didn’t provide service. Breakfast was short on different items, including paratha and fried eggs, and they didn’t refill anything.

There were a few things I liked: the hotel is centrally located, has a big parking area, the reception staff were friendly, and breakfast buffet was included in the room price. But at 3,000 BDT per night, the room quality didn’t match the price. The room was old, the bed was small and uncomfortable, the hot water jug was dirty, and the accessories were broken or dated. The high commode was low quality and so uncomfortable that my back hurt, and I couldn’t even sit on it for a minute. My friend booked for my trip, so I hadn’t seen the room first. I’d heard it was a nice hotel in Khulna, but that wasn’t my experience. The AC was broken: our first Walton unit showed error code E2, which means it’s out of Gas. They moved us to another room, but the same issue happened. We were tired of changing rooms and asked them to fix it, and they somehow got the AC working. Another big problem was the gates. They close and fully lock them at 2am. We came back from dinner at that time and found two gates shut, with nobody there to open them. The guard was asleep inside behind glass. We called loudly but got no response, then used our phone flashlight to seek help. Someone eventually noticed and called the guard, who opened the gate. A hotel should be open 24 hours, or at least have someone available to let guests in.

A good place to stay with family or for a corporate person.

I gave it five stars because everything was as expected: a neat room with the basic amenities I needed, and staff who were cordial and prompt. The only issue was the cafeteria, where our order took a very long time to arrive.
