The location worked really well for seeing Belgium: the hotel is opposite the train station, around 7-8 minutes from the city centre, and about half an hour from Brussels and Ghent or an hour from Bruges. There are stores, pubs, terraces, and restaurants right outside. It was budget friendly, and the rooms were clean, well equipped, and bright with lots of natural light. The bathroom was spacious too. Staff gave us complimentary breakfast. Owner Matheo and manager William were great people. They made us feel comfortable and looked after us from arrival through checkout. We had a great stay and will definitely come back.

William and Matheo made us feel at home, checking in on us throughout our stay. I had lovely conversations with William over the coffee he made, and his outlook on life is so positive. The hospitality here really stood out. The room was clean and spacious, and the bathroom was too. It had the basic things we needed. Breakfast was delicious, and the place felt warm and welcoming after a tiring day exploring the streets. This lovely little hotel is beautiful and central, just a minute from Aalst station, with shops and small pubs nearby. The online reviews don’t do it justice. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

Good value for money, with kind, friendly staff and a satisfactory breakfast. It’s an old hotel just a minute from the station, and could use some investment and restoration.
