Luc was kind and helpful at check-in, and explained everything clearly. The house is lovely and sits in a quiet area, with private parking for at least four cars, including two covered spaces. It’s roughly 25 minutes by car to both Gent and Brugge. We were there on a cold weekend, and some rooms were hard to warm, though that’s understandable in an older house with high ceilings. Water and gas cost extra and should be no more than 50 euros for a weekend. Linen and cleaning are 12 euros per person, which seemed reasonable. For our group of 10, I thought it was good value. There’s also a supermarket just a two-minute walk away. I can definitely recommend it.

The house looks beautiful, and €450 for two nights for eight people seemed like a great family weekend price when I booked through Booking.com. But after I’d booked and paid, I learned electricity was charged afterward and bed linen was mandatory at €12.50 per person. I messaged the owner saying Ghent itself would work out to about the same price and asked whether he could offer a better deal. He told me to cancel. I consider this practice pure fraud. All costs should be clearly stated before booking.
