Antwerp Inn

The shower had very weak water pressure, and one bed had a badly worn, sagging mattress. I woke up with back pain after sleeping on it. The room felt neglected, and the listing was misleading. We chose the place because it advertised parking, but there were no directions. A local told us to park on the street, and the following morning we got a ticket because of a temporary parking ban sign. Clear parking information should have been provided. This stay wasn't worth it.

They accidentally gave another guest the spare room key as their own, and that guest unlocked our door and walked in while we were inside. The bathroom was also very old and needs renovating. There was no hot water, and the advertised AC was nowhere to be found. Worst hotel or motel I've ever stayed in.

Only plus for me was the train station, about a 15 minute walk away. The neighbourhood was noisy at night, the building was old, the windows weren't good, and lots of things didn't work. The mattress was dirty, the beds uncomfortable, and there was no AC. One star, maybe two. I wouldn't stay here even if it were free.

After a sudden funeral, we told them clearly we'd arrive a day late for our weekend apartment booking. Even so, after we drove 2.5 hours, they said the booking had been canceled because we hadn't told them. We had. It felt like they just wanted to sell the room again for extra money. The receptionist was arrogant and only gave us nasty looks instead of helping. We had to find another hotel for the night after attending a funeral. Unbelievable, the worst customer service ever. Watch out. I wouldn't recommend it.
