We got good value here, with clean, tidy rooms at a low price. It's a no-frills place in a quiet area, even though it's in an industrial estate. Breakfast was served cold, which was fine for the price, though the small dining room gets busy. We brought our two greyhounds, and ended up on the top floor. Managing dogs in the lift wasn't easy. I expected pet rooms to be downstairs, but to be fair, we could have asked for a ground-floor room when booking and didn't.

We had chosen the Ibis Centraal Hotel because it is so close to Antwerp Train Station. On October 14, 2025, at around 11:00 PM, my spouse, our sick 20-month-old daughter, and I needed a place to stay. We'd planned to go to Eindhoven and stay with a friend, but we were exhausted, and the train via Rotterdam would get us there very late. The night before, we'd stayed at the same hotel and found the price and experience decent. However, when we handed over all three passports, an elderly receptionist scolded us and said our baby's passport wasn't needed. My family runs a hotel business in our country, and I would never hire someone like him. Guests deserve the warmth and respect you'd show visitors at home. I suspect he treats his own guests the same way. Flight attendants are a good example of hospitality. Before leaving the station, we booked through Booking.com and walked to Ibis Centraal. A young receptionist couldn't find our reservation because we'd accidentally booked Ibis Port Hotel instead. We had made the booking just five minutes earlier and wanted to cancel, but Booking.com said it was non-refundable. We asked him to call the other hotel to see if they could help. He said he was busy and asked us to wait. It was a long, exhausting wait with our sick baby late at night, and he seemed to be preparing handover paperwork. Then the same elderly man from the previous night arrived for his shift. When I explained the situation, he said it wasn't his concern because he'd just arrived. The younger man was still doing paperwork, a queue was forming behind us, and I told them we'd waited long enough and needed help. In the end, the elderly man said the reservation wasn't for his hotel and wasn't his problem. The young man also refused to help. We were furious, exhausted, and had missed the last train to Eindhoven. Ibis Port Hotel was 7-8 km away in a remote area. A taxi quoted €40, nearly as much as the €53 room, so we walked to a tram stop, rode to the last station, then walked another 1.7 km through dark, deserted streets. The receptionist at Ibis Port listened and told us he could have cancelled the booking if Ibis Centraal had called. We went to bed without even using the shower and left at 7:00 AM. Ibis Centraal could have shown empathy for our tired family and sick baby by simply calling the other hotel. We would have stayed there. Instead, we were left upset and even more exhausted. I thank God nothing worse happened on those dark streets. I would never employ people like that at my own hotel. I hope this helps future guests be cautious when booking Ibis Centraal Hotel.

The room was clean and the bed comfortable, though I kept nearly hitting my head on the bunk. The sink drained poorly. There was just one lighting switch, so the shower was either very bright or completely dark.

A quiet stay and good value overall, especially if you're driving or on a bike trip. The location is a bit far from the centre, but free parking is a plus. The room was tiny, though there was enough space to shower. It was clean, with a quiet, comfortable bed. The shower angle couldn't be adjusted, and a hole in the door let water out onto the floor. Breakfast was very good, though some hot food would be nice. They do have a microwave, which was a highlight. I'd definitely stay again. Thanks, and see you in the future!

We stopped for one quick night. The room wasn't very clean, but the bed was comfortable and it was quiet. Breakfast offered a good range, and the coffee was pretty good.
