Warwick Grand-Place Brussels

We especially liked the range of food at the breakfast buffet, and we also checked out the rooftop bar for its nice city view. The building and rooms are old, though well equipped. It’s just a five-minute walk from Brussels central station, and even though it’s close to the tourist area, we had no noise problems.

Breakfast was really good and peaceful, a lovely way to start the day without noise or stress. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable, with a calm, pleasant atmosphere. It’s very close to Grand Place and within walking distance of almost everything in Brussels. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional, too. I loved my stay and will definitely come back next time I’m in Brussels. Highly recommend it.

The plugs by the bed were hard to spot, tucked down low and sometimes hidden by the bedside table. Otherwise, the hotel had good amenities and nice toiletries. It’s a lovely, luxurious place, with a fabulous lobby and a very short walk to Grand Place Square, Centraal Station and all around Brussels City Centre.

The location is the one real plus. It’s very convenient for sightseeing and getting around, but the stay itself was disappointing. The room was dark, the window tiny, the bed uncomfortable, and the bathroom felt old and dated. Service made things worse. I told reception in the morning that the hair dryer wasn’t working and that I needed it urgently. After I called again 20 minutes later, they said they’d sort it out, but nothing changed and I couldn’t dry my hair. The dryer also smelled like something was burning, so I was afraid to use it because it seemed unsafe. The room wasn’t cleaned during the day. They changed only the towels while we were already in the room. The coffee corner hadn’t been restocked, so I asked for sugar and a spoon and got passed between room service and reception. The receptionist eventually said they’d bring them right away, but nothing arrived. After I called several more times, she abruptly hung up, saying she’d tell her manager to come. I still don’t know why. The next morning, I went back to reception and explained everything. They took notes and assured me it would be fixed. When we returned, the coffee corner still hadn’t been refilled and the hair dryer still didn’t work. The lack of follow-up was very disappointing, and apart from the location, the hotel didn’t meet expectations for comfort or service. If you have another option in a similar location, choose that one. P.S. I only took photos of the hair dryer because I didn’t want to photograph the hotel itself.
