Condo Gardens Brussels

We arrived to find the front door locked, and support was unavailable during our stay. Inside, the toilet wouldn’t flush, there was no soap or cleaning service, and the apartment had neither a fan nor air conditioning. At night, people gathered loudly in the courtyard below. I wouldn’t recommend it. For a similar price, some serviced apartments see-ta-deen offer much better value and security.

For €80 a night, I was shocked by the condition of the place. The building really needs renovating. Furniture had patches of mold and wasn’t clean, and the room smelled so bad I had to sleep with the windows open. Luckily I’d brought a sleeping bag, because that’s what I used for the one night I stayed. Apart from keeping the rain off, there was little to offer.

We asked staff to clean up a spill in the room and they just handed us a bucket and cloth to do it ourselves. The service was awful throughout. The place was dirty and smelled bad, with bugs in the rooms and a filthy bathroom. The bathroom door stuck shut, had no lock, and although staff forced it open, they never repaired it. The furniture was falling apart too. A bed leg snapped as soon as someone sat down. The receptionist said a repair person would come the next day, but nobody arrived. The fridge wasn’t cold, the stove didn’t work, and the tiny fans they provided in hot weather were nowhere near enough for everyone in the room. Outside, we saw drug users hanging around and didn’t feel safe walking in the area. We booked Condo Gardens Brussels for a holiday, and it turned into one of our worst decisions. Don’t waste your money here, stay somewhere else in Brussels.

I asked to shorten my booking, but nobody answered. The room itself was in terrible shape: dirty walls covered in footprints, with damage and cracks, and mud and shoe marks on the curtains. The bed sheets seemed to be the only clean thing. The hygiene was far below what I expected, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
