JVR108 Luxury Guesthouse

We really didn’t want to leave. The beds were so comfortable, and our beautiful room with its gorgeous wallpaper had a stunning marble bathroom and a soaking tub that felt wonderful after a long day on foot. The whole place is decorated with such taste, both lavish and understated, and the moment we walked into the lobby we were blown away. It really is a little gem. There was a mix-up with the booking, so we had to wait outside while staff checked us in. They were very apologetic, and it seemed an honest communication mistake, perhaps a website error. Antwerp is lovely and easy to explore on foot. We tried fancy restaurants, but ended up at Frituur Lescluse around the corner, where the fries were the best ever, the portions generous, and the staff friendly. We skipped breakfast, though the breakfast room looked gorgeous, and the reviews suggest we missed out. I’d highly recommend this boutique hotel.

Breakfast was awesome, and the service was immaculate. My girlfriend and I had a fantastic time and enjoyed every minute. We came to Antwerpen for Andrea Bocelli and wanted somewhere special to suit the occasion. This place absolutely did. Every part is put together with a lovely sense of style. It’s not right by the city centre, but public transport connections are very good. I’d stay here again anytime.

The host was so friendly, and breakfast was lovely. The place is super clean and decorated with a real eye for detail. Highly recommended.

Stay away. The owner is vile and will take your hard-earned money.
