Van Der Valk Hotel Beveren

I stayed for a week in November 2025 for work and had a great time. The room was spacious and nice, the bed was good, and I slept well. It had the amenities I expected. The see through shower might feel a bit awkward if you’re staying as a couple. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was in good condition and had several restaurants on site. The conference area was nice too, though it would help to have clearer information about what’s happening where, such as a screen showing which events are in which rooms.

The food is very good, especially at the Asian Restaurant. Parking was generally sufficient, with both regular and high speed EV Charging points available. The hotel is fairly close to the Freeway from Antwerp to the coast. The rooms are generally clean and spacious, but check the room details before booking. Superior Cottage Rooms are in an adjacent building, something the booking information doesn’t mention. Having to unload and reload luggage to move buildings isn’t a huge problem, but it should be explained on booking sites. I found the Cottage Rooms very noisy. I could clearly hear my neighbour sneezing, and the walls seemed so thin I could almost have passed him a tissue. The lights near the door are on a motion sensor that takes about 15 minutes to reset, which is awkward if you need to get up during the night. Also, the outside door to the Cottage Room corridor doesn’t use a key card, and it’s set away from the road, which doesn’t feel ideal for security. Service was friendly and very good in the restaurant. At reception, when I asked about my stay, the response felt just slightly professionally disinterested, only just above an AI Avatar when they said feedback would be taken into account. I’m not holding my breath. All in all, it’s a good place to stay. I’d avoid the cottage rooms and enjoy the food.

The room, restaurant, and conference room were all dirty, and I even found actual garbage in the bathroom. I have photo proof, and that was just 1% of a TERRIBLE experience. The staff were rude, useless, and didn’t care. Worst service ever. Never again. Run, just run.

The stay was pleasant, with friendly staff and magical Christmas decorations. Reception offered us the choice of a more modern room. Parking was a bit overcrowded because of the four restaurants on the hotel site.
