They advertise this as a luxury hotel, but the rooms don't live up to that at all. The hotel is really 1 star Hotel Postilion, and the advertising is deceptive. The stairs are very steep, there's no help with luggage, and the whole place smelled of dog. Our room wasn't clean, and when we complained, we were told they were too busy and it wasn't their fault. They also mixed up our room type, blaming a computer crash. Check-in took ages because reception made us handwrite every detail even though we'd already sent it by email. They said that was their policy and they'd lost all the emails. Breakfast was minimal, with basics like milk missing. The explanation was that they were understaffed.

Breakfast was plentiful and really good, and the hotel puts you right opposite the famous cathedral, in the middle of the nightlife and city action. The rooms are only okay, though, more suited to a few nights than anything special. It’s a decent hotel, but you can’t drive up to it and there’s no nearby parking.

The location is spot on, and we had a nice weekend there. It looked a little worn, possibly because the place is old, and while it wasn’t really dirty, it didn’t feel very clean either. Still, it was reasonably tidy and pretty good overall.

There are plenty of places to eat close by, and the historic center isn’t far away. Our room felt a bit dated, but it was clean and quiet. Breakfast was good, with a nice, well-chosen range of things.

Breakfast was good. The hotel itself is nice, though the lack of air conditioning is a downside when it’s hot.
