The stairs were tricky to manage even with a small suitcase, so I wouldn’t suggest this place if you have large or heavy bags. It can also get loud at night, though I didn’t mind much. The hotel itself was beautifully designed and decorated, and everything was very clean and tidy. The location was amazing.

The rooms are on the small side, but you’re right in the middle of everything as soon as you step outside. The shower worked really well, and the room had everything we needed. We booked just a day ahead without much comparison, but we were very happy with our choice.

Our room was clean and pleasant, with an amazing view of the cathedral. The bathroom was spacious, and the bath was big enough for two. It was a very hot day and we were disappointed to find there was no air conditioning, but later a portable unit had appeared beside our bed. That was nice service. The hotel is well located for everything in the old city center, though it’s naturally loud at night when you stay right in the center, so don’t count on a quiet night.

The hotel’s central location is convenient, but we had a very, very noisy night. The room was tiny, with the sink and shower right beside the bed, and one of the small window panes was broken. The stairs to the room felt dangerous, and the shower flooded the room. At 7am someone tried to open our door. There were mosquitoes all over the room and we got bitten. Front desk staff weren’t always there, and it wasn’t clear when someone would return to help. Even the ground-floor toilets by the lobby had rough kitchen paper towels in place of toilet paper. A strange place.
