Prize by Radisson, Antwerp City

The mattress was comfortable, and the bedding was fresh and clean. The bathroom was clean too, though it could use an update. I found self check-in on the computer handy when reception was busy. Prices are reasonable, but feel a little high for what's provided. Getting around is confusing because all the corridors and rooms look alike, so it's easy to get lost. The unusual interior design can feel a bit overwhelming. One other downside is the TV built into the wall unit, with no way to connect personal devices like a Chromecast. A visible HDMI cable would be much more useful than the single exposed USB cable.

I had loads of room to myself, and check-in was really straightforward. The one thing that made me uneasy was the screen facing the doorway while I entered my personal details. Since I was alone, I kept watching who might pass by. You can hear people quite clearly when they walk past your room, too, so that’s why I’m taking off a star.

Free coffee all day and night was a generous touch, and otherwise I had a very comfortable stay. The room was clean, breakfast was good, the location worked well, and the staff were lovely. The bathroom is tiny, though, and there aren’t any hooks to hang things on.

You can walk into the city center easily, and the staff made the stay feel welcoming. They were really helpful, offered us some baked goods in the morning, and had free coffee and tea available, with lots of tasty coffee choices. Service like that is rare in hotels these days, especially at such a good price.
