The rooms were clean, the staff were wonderful, and Antwerp Central is very close. The hotel is in central Antwerp, right next to Chinatown. There are several nearby eateries that seem to cater to people from North Africa and/or the Middle East, which is good. The area also seems to have many young men from those regions, for whatever you make of that. We didn’t have any problems. My one complaint about the room is the shower. Only half the tub is screened with glass and there’s no door, so water splashes out when you shower. I know that’s common in Europe, but not every shower is like that.

Radisson Blu Astrid Hotel makes a comfortable base in Antwerp, with helpful, friendly staff who speak several languages and keep things running smoothly from arrival through checkout. The rooms are well maintained and comfortable for both work and leisure. Higher floors look out over Astrid Square and the striking railway station. Breakfast is a highlight, with a wide range of fresh, good-quality food for different tastes and dietary needs. The location is hard to beat for arriving by train: the hotel sits directly opposite Antwerpen-Centraal. Antwerp Zoo and the Diamond District are just around the corner, and the historic centre is easy to reach on foot or by public transport. It’s clear why it gets such strong ratings on major booking platforms. A very solid option, highly recommended.

We celebrated my wife’s birthday at Radisson Blu Astrid Hotel, and the team made her feel so special with thoughtful surprises from the moment we arrived. They’d arranged every little detail beautifully, and we were genuinely touched. Breakfast overlooking Antwerp Central Station was unforgettable. The hammam and sauna were pure bliss, too, just right for relaxing and celebrating. Everything went beyond what we expected. We can’t recommend the hotel enough and are already looking forward to another visit! 🎉✨🌟

I’d read quite a few negative reviews, so I wasn’t expecting much, but the stay was really great. Check-in and breakfast were both queue-free, and my room was ready around 1300. They upgraded me to a huge room overlooking the beautiful railway station, with a box of Speculoos waiting for me. I slept very well and will definitely come back next time I’m in Antwerp.

Not bad, but it doesn’t feel like a 4*. The room needs a bit more attention to cleaning and small repairs. I liked finding a handwritten greeting card, but the mini fridge stuck in the middle of a blank wall gave me a bit of a camping vibe, see photo. The TV didn’t work either. That wasn’t a big deal, but it’s another detail that could use attention.
