Staff were really helpful and kind when I had trouble with my original room, and they provided me another bed. The bedsheets smelled clean. A few things for future guests: there’s no communal space in the evening because the restaurant closes pretty early, in my opinion. It’s not a place where you’re especially likely to meet other people like at some hostels, though the rooms are cheaper. Maybe the coffee machine could go in a larger separate room with seats and tables. You can’t lock away valuables in the open, unlocked cages, so bring a bike lock, or use the station lockers for €5 a day, though they only open once. And get up early if you need the bathroom, as some guests keep it locked for over 30 minutes just before the 10am checkout. 🙃

The atmosphere was really nice, and the location was excellent. Rooms were modern and clean, and the staff deserve a special mention for always being cheerful, polite, and ready to help. You can tell they care about guests. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in, and I highly recommend it.

The heating was great, the Wi-Fi worked really well, and the location is very close to the central train station. The beds have bedside lights, charging outlets, privacy curtains, and a large storage box that fit my 45-liter hiking backpack and 25-liter backpack. Bring your own lock or rent one at the front desk. The shower and toilet are indoors, with floor mats provided; towels cost extra to rent, and hair dryers are available. There’s no shared kitchen at this A&O, not even a microwave or kettle. At check-in, you’re given sheets, duvet cover, and pillowcase and have to make your own bed. Housekeeping comes at 9:30am, and during my normal check-in period they mistakenly took all my bedding away, so I had to make the bed again.

The location couldn’t be better, and everything was clean and comfortable. What made the stay for me was how kind and friendly the staff were. They were always ready to help, and it felt natural, not forced. I felt very welcome, and the place had a good vibe. I’d happily stay again.
