Stone Lodge

We booked through Booking.com back in October or November for four friends, but arrived late in the evening to find no key. The owner then asked us to send an extra £500 security deposit to a third party account, even though we'd already paid everything due through Booking.com. He also said there were no bed linens or towels inside and told us to buy some. We refused because it seemed like a con, and Booking.com cancelled the reservation. They did eventually refund us a week or two later, but we spent an anxious couple of hours trying to find a hotel for four people for five nights. I wouldn't trust this property owner at all. 0/10, avoid, avoid, avoid.
