Breakfast was easily one of the best parts of our two-night stay last summer, and the location, while not quite central, was still reachable. The room was clean, but it felt hot and poorly ventilated. We hadn’t understood what “budget room” meant: ours was below ground, with a small window looking onto a wall, so it felt a bit claustrophobic. We know it was a cheaper option, and other budget rooms may be in a different spot or more comfortable. We can only speak about the one we got. We told reception we were uncomfortable, but it was peak season and maybe they didn’t fully understand our concern, or there wasn’t much they could do then. We came away thinking that in high season the lower rates go with rooms like this, based on our experience.

The hotel is lovely and quiet, and it’s not far from the main street. We had a nice breakfast and would recommend it to friends. During our two-night stop at hotel Richmond, we had a small plumbing issue. The kind man at the desk moved us to another room, which was even better, because room 106 involved a few steps and that area wasn’t very well lit.

A cozy, clean room and a really tasty, filling breakfast. The staff were kind and very polite, and they speak several languages. I’d definitely go back. The location is lovely too.

The reception and breakfast area still have an old-world charm. The rooms and corridors feel very cramped, though. The rooms seem to have been redone and modernised, but the new decor comes across as tacky.

The hotel itself was excellent, and the service was very good. What spoiled the holiday somewhat was the parking place they recommended. The people at parking “Bistro De Perse” were extremely rude and badly mannered. I’d avoid following the hotel’s parking advice.
