This hotel is right in the heart of the city, and they certainly try to meet your needs. Don't come expecting loads of luxury, but the value for money is excellent. The rooms are clean, the atmosphere is child-friendly, and the hospitality is warm. Breakfast is another strong point, with a delicious, generous buffet prepared fresh. Blankenberge hospitality and a welcoming place for children at its best!
We had a much better impression three years ago, when we stayed Friday through Sunday. When we returned last year, the room was very small and there was no hot water for two days. We reported it both days and were told each time it would be fixed, but it never was. At checkout there was still no hot water, and we got no compensation. We paid 180 euros for two nights and had a bath without hot water. They won't see us there again :(
The room upkeep was poor, the toilet wasn't fixed, and the shower was broken. There's Wi-Fi only in the breakfast room, none in the room. The rooms are much too small, with too little storage for clothes and such, and the shower and toilet are far too cramped too. Honestly, just tear the place down. It doesn't deserve even one star, but I had to click one to post.
The staff were friendly, and the food was really good. My single room was clean, too. I took the photo from the room because snow had settled on the trees. A good hotel.
