Hotel José

The Elena suite was spacious, clean, and looked much like the photos. I liked the cozy chairs and the window area, especially sitting there in the sun. The bathroom was big and looked nice, and the shower had good pressure and great-smelling wash. If turned up too high, the water splashed all over the bathroom, so I kept it lower. But the shower was very slippery, and I nearly fell several times. There were enough towels, and the room was clearly well cared for. The hotel takes a lot of pride in keeping the rooms clean and comfortable. It's an older building, which adds to its charm in my view. The bed was lovely, but low and very soft. With my back problems, getting out of it was hard. The fridge made a lot of noise whenever it switched on and woke me up. The street is busy and loud, but I expected that, so it wasn't a problem. Breakfast was good, with plenty on offer. The friendly people were everywhere around the hotel. I especially liked the eggs, along with the meat, cheese, yogurt, fruit and bread. There were lots of drinks, too. I'd give it five stars, but those three issues held me back.

I was looking for an affordable place for me and the kids, with breakfast and close to the sea, and this hotel fit. The room worked well for us and had a very nice bathroom. Breakfast was nice, too.

It was cheap, but the room felt a bit small and the WiFi didn't work in there. Dogs were allowed by the buffet and food, and I'm not sure why.

I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The beds were bad and the floor was dirty. There was a kettle but nowhere to plug it in! The two beds were separated, and I spent the whole night sleeping in a hole.
