The staff were really, really nice, breakfast was okay, and the hotel is near the sea. You can also pay to extend checkout. I wish Google Maps allowed a 2.5 rating, halfway to 50%, but we had such a bad night that I couldn’t rate it any higher. Sleeping well is the main point of a hotel, and we couldn’t get to sleep until after 5 a.m. There was a nightclub nearby, with music and people in the street, and the strong wind that night made a lot of noise too. We’d forgotten our earplugs. Our room, 502, was a good size, but for a 4-star hotel there were too many little damaged things and areas that weren’t very clean. The wellness area is open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., which is great, and the sauna was excellent. The pool was a bit too cold. We were there at 10:20 a.m., and the hammam wasn’t warm enough whenever the steam stopped. The changing cabins are spacious, but there’s only one shower, and its head won’t stay in place, so you have to hold it with one hand. There was mold on the wall too, which really needs replacing.

The staff were very friendly, and breakfast was great. It’s sad to see the hotel losing its old glory because it seems so poorly maintained. The stair carpet is torn, the shower sealant is dirty, and there are other maintenance problems with the furniture and wall paint.

The desk staff were very kind, and generally the hotel was fine. In my opinion, though, it isn’t a 4-star hotel. It’s quite a bit below that.

The location is the positive point, and breakfast was normal. The lady there was very welcoming. It’s a weird hotel: there’s a spa, but no bar or restaurant and no minibar. I called to ask whether we needed to bring bathrobes and was told everything was included, but on arrival they charged 5 euros to rent each towel. The room hadn’t been cleaned, as you can see in the pictures, and empty shampoo bottles had been left in the bath. The towels were clean but very old. The bed was actually two separate beds pushed together, with very old mattresses that slid around. The door didn’t shut completely, letting noise and light from outside straight in, and the bed was right in front of it.
