The food was delicious, and they sorted out the booking problem fairly quickly by giving us a spare room. But we were treated so unfriendly throughout our one night there, even though the reservation issue wasn’t our fault. We had dinner and breakfast as part of the stay. It was a shame, because if the host had been friendly, this would definitely have been 5/5.

There was no menu, just three choices, so we went with the supposedly safe croque monsieur. At €15,- per toastie, the price was insane. The service wasn’t great either, though the staff were polite. I’d be polite to people I was robbing too. Never again, and I won’t order at a restaurant without seeing the menu and prices first.

We stayed for five days in late July for the Chimay motorcycle races. Corbion is only a village and doesn’t have much to offer, but Bouillon is close by, an attractive town on the river. The small hotel was lovely, the room spotlessly clean, and the food at Le Relais was good. The husband and wife who run it were very friendly. I’d recommend it without hesitation.

Because of covid-19, dinner and breakfast were brought to our room, and both were very good. It’s a nice family hotel, with a rather small room, but it had everything we needed and was very clean.
