The mattresses were excellent, and we loved the quiet, peaceful atmosphere. Even so, the centre is only a few minutes away. We’d booked two nights, but when we wanted to stay an extra night and our apartment was no longer available, the hostess went out of her way to find us another room with a good mattress and breakfast. We were welcomed so warmly by both hosts, and the gîte itself is beautiful, with a lovely interior, terraces and views. The location is peaceful too. Thanks so much, and we’ll definitely return. The terrace had a stunning view over the forests of the Semois Valley, and the bathroom was spotless. Our two-bedroom studio was well equipped and very clean, and the host was incredibly kind and committed. The only drawback came at night, when flying ants appeared in the bedroom. It sounds like a horror film, but they didn’t attack us at all :D

If we’re back in Bouillon, we’ll stay here again. The owners are super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The cottage was clean and cozy, and I can only recommend it.

The walk into the centre is about 1 km, but the road to the gite is steep, so it won’t suit people with mobility issues. The apartment is spacious for two, or for parents with two children, and the furnishings are comfortable and adequate. There’s a well-equipped kitchen and a wonderful bed. In winter the wood-burning stove is a lovely extra, and in summer you can probably sit outside comfortably.
