B&B Chez Pierrot alias Ikejime

The room, Bali, was a letdown. It was large but very warm, had no window, and the toilet and shower were out in the hallway. When we arrived, we were told breakfast was in Blankenberge, 7 km away, which hardly seems like a B&B. We looked for the owner but couldn’t find him. When we called, we learned he was at a performance, so we left the key in the hallway and went. That’s why this review is poor.

The downstairs rooms have their showers in the hallway, and the front room’s shower is even accessed through the kitchen. The owner personally drove us to the rooftop restaurant Njord and back. Breakfast wasn’t provided because of circumstances, but we got a €2.50 discount in Blankenberge. The breakfast there was delicious and plentiful, with some great entertainment involving magic tricks. We had a lovely time at this beautiful, well-kept B&B in the picturesque village of Lissewege, and it’s very well located. The hosts gave us a warm welcome and a large, lovely room, Tintin, with a very comfortable bed. It had a flat-screen TV, a fridge with cold drinks, and a coffee maker. The bathroom was lovely too, with a walk-in shower, and bathrobes, slippers, and a hairdryer were provided. Breakfast was extensive and delicious, with everything laid out: fresh fruit juice, great coffee, several kinds of bread, plenty of toppings to choose from, eggs, and more. Good restaurants and cozy cafes are within walking distance. Highly recommended! Daniël and Rita

The booking information says dogs are allowed. We asked about it and got a very pretentious response. Shameful. Why not just say on the website that dogs aren’t allowed?
