Hotel Biskajer by CW Hotel Collection

The room was next to the laundry room, so it got humid and noisy whenever the dryer was running. It was also very dirty, with lots of dust and cobwebs, plus stains on the bedding and radiator. Check-in took a long time. The location was good and breakfast was fine, but the cleanliness was well below what I'd expect from a four-star hotel. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

I booked one night for myself and my child through the hotel's website, but was told on arrival that the property was for adults only and we couldn't stay. This was a complete surprise because the booking form lets you make reservations with children, including infants aged 0-2. The staff kindly found us a room at another hotel in their group. It was farther from the city centre, and after hours of driving I had to walk another 10-15 minutes with my son and our luggage over cobbled streets. As of today, the mobile website still accepts bookings with children and doesn't make the adults-only policy obvious anywhere on the page. That's confusing for families. I hope they update it to prevent the same inconvenience for future guests.

Room #2 could ruin your stay. The laundry right next to it meant hearing the machines, smelling washing powder, and dealing with damp air and condensation on the door. The room has no window, and opening its door lets in the humid, smelly air. I was very disappointed with this room in a 4-star hotel. I wouldn't recommend the hotel, since you risk having your holiday spoiled.

We felt welcome as soon as we arrived. The room was spotless, warm and really comfortable. This is the best hotel I've ever stayed in, and we'll be back in Bruges very soon.
