The room was much older than the photos suggest, with old furniture, and the bathroom in particular didn’t look as good as it did in the pictures. The house is 150 years old, and the bathroom feels dated. The surrounding area also looks very poor.

My cousin and I had a lovely weekend at Hotel Pitchoune at the end of January. The bus 95 ride from Brussels takes 15 minutes, and the stop is at the end of the street. Our room was large, and upstairs there was a cozy lounge with a sofa beside a fireplace, plus a terrace overlooking the rooftops. The bathroom was bright and spacious, with thoughtful details, including a subtle, elegant incense scent. It was completely quiet. Breakfast came in a lovely dining room, with plenty of variety, homemade jams, and yogurt. The hotel is beautifully furnished and tastefully decorated, and we received a very warm welcome. I’d highly recommend it, a full 20 out of 20 from me.

The apartment was nice, spacious, and well equipped, but it wasn’t very clean. When we arrived soaking wet, the hosts were rude to us, despite our reservation documents and the advance payment already being held on the credit card.
