The rooms were clean, breakfast was good, and the staff were caring. A nice place in a good location.

The room was really nice and spacious, and the metro and tram links were good.

A great base for a one- or two-day visit to the Sonian Forest.

Quiet, comfortable, and a nice place to stay.

I'm disappointed by the host's response to my earlier review. Reviews are for sharing criticism, and this was our personal opinion, not a disrespectful attack. I often post on Google and TripAdvisor, and I also read reviews there before booking. Mine included both positives and negatives. Our car was correctly parked in a disabled space, with my husband's disabled parking permit visible behind the windshield. Saying the towels couldn't even be washed at 95 degrees Celsius was childish. We hadn't been working in coal mines that weekend ;-) Still, we enjoyed all the beauty of Brussels. We slept wonderfully at the B&B, which is a lovely place to sleep, but the breakfast left us disillusioned. Despite that, we had a wonderful weekend in Brussels. It's about 6 km from the city centre, with free parking nearby if there's a space. Just before the 2:00 PM arrival time, we got an entry code by email. We hadn't realized the stay would be contactless with the host. There are two rooms, one on the first floor and a larger one on the second. Our room had high-tech blackout curtains and excellent, silent air conditioning. Breakfast costs €10 per person. The host came that evening to put it in the fridge for the next guest. The following day, we found four slices of stale bread, sour milk, and rancid butter, so we chose not to pay and had breakfast downtown. It's a beautiful, quiet B&B that was well-maintained, atmospheric, clean, and fresh, but it has potential and still needs some work. I'd start with the bathroom. The room was modern and spacious, with a kitchenette, and the bed was fantastic, roomy, and made up with comfortable, clean linens. Parking is free on a small street, and the train station is close. There's clearly been a lot of investment, and the air conditioning is good and quiet. On the downside, getting to the rooms means climbing two or four flights of stairs. Breakfast was very meager for €10. The bathroom layout made you shower in the bath, which felt dangerous; there was no rail to hang the shower on, and no screen or curtain, so everything got wet and slippery. You couldn't turn off the hallway light sensor by the bathroom, which was annoying when using the toilet at night; a nightlight would help. The Wi-Fi wasn't working when we arrived. They knew about it, but it wasn't fixed until the next day, an hour before we left.
