The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and the beds were comfortable. Sheets were changed daily, and the breakfast buffet was good and sufficient. The hotel is well placed for Atomium and Mini Europe. Our room wasn't very clean, and the bathroom smelled awful for days. The air conditioning didn't work. I complained on the first day, but it still hadn't been fixed by the end of our four-day stay. It was an okay experience, but not really what I'd expect from a three-star hotel.

There's very little to like here. The breakfast was poor in both quality and amount, and everything felt old and heavily worn. The rooms and bathrooms were messy, with black dirt and what I think was mold in the corners. The place looked like a communist-era building, or a low-budget student dorm. We had some bites after two nights. I suspect Expo-area workers are what keep the hotel going. We chose it for being near the Atomium, but it wasn't worth it.

The room smelled strongly of sewer gas, so I could only sleep with the window open. When I mentioned it, staff said it smelled normal to them. Both the hotel and rooms felt very dated, as though they hadn't been renovated since Expo 58.

The evening bar was very nice, breakfast was good, and the hotel was clean. Staff were pleasant overall, though one got a bit sharp as the bar became busier. It seemed like there weren't enough people working, another sign of cost-cutting. The hotel is basic and simple. At 100 euros a night, you may want to compare options. I stayed for work at the Expo centre across the road, so the location suited me. Getting there can be tricky unless you take an Uber: the metro is nearby, but the park path between it and the hotel was closed at one end. Buses stop outside in both directions, which is practical if you're visiting that area. The Atomium and similar sights are a short drive away.

The receptionists were probably the nicest I've ever met, especially the Greek guy and the weight lifter. Rooms were a little worn, but clean and tidied every day. There's a good selection of beer, and it's close to the Expo. Great for a 3 star hotel. I'll use it again when I'm in the area.
