The desserts were the highlight for me. The fior di latte was rich and creamy, and the custard cake was simple but delicious. The place had a lovely atmosphere, the staff were friendly and efficient, and the menu looked interesting, but the main courses left me expecting more. We tried meat and fish. The lamb seemed as if it might have been cooked the day before, and the red mullet was interesting but lacked that wow factor and needed some acidity. Maybe the pasta is a better bet, since they make it themselves. I was comparing the food with our trip to Istria, where everything tasted so fresh, which may be part of why it didn't quite land for me. We had the house wine, and the Malvasia was okay.

I was glad to try Croatian food here, and had a nice time. The staff were friendly, though service between courses took a bit longer than I would have liked. The restaurant has a cozy feel on Avenue Louise, with a covered terrace that came in handy during Covid.

I didn't know much about Istrian food before this meal, and it was such a good surprise. The owner greeted us warmly and was happy to answer questions. The restaurant has lovely decor and a cozy feel, and the food was just amazing.

It was my first try of Croatian food, and I came away pleasantly surprised. The lunch menu was nice, with tasty food and excellent quality. The desserts were amazing.

Review by @maisondistrie I came here for something traditional from southern Europe, and found a lovely restaurant with a peaceful atmosphere. We enjoyed the wines and typical ingredients, which really tasted like they came from Istria. The owner explained that both the ingredients and wines are imported directly from the region. It was quiet when we visited, so the owner had time to look after us. We started with cold cuts and cheeses, including a truffle cheese spread that was my favorite. Then we had homemade pasta, plus cold cuts and mashed potatoes with lamb. Everything was a real treat. If you're after something beyond Belgian food in Brussels, I'd definitely suggest a visit. I give it 10/10, and this won't be my last time here. Thanks, and good luck!
