The room itself could have been better, but the reception team were incredibly understanding and empathetic. They didn't charge us for the stolen card, and we're very grateful for their kindness.

We paid 1,900 RON for four non-refundable nights and left with cockroaches as a souvenir. We found a bedbug on the final morning, just before checkout. If we'd missed it, we might have put up with the noise and the sketchy neighborhood. This place needs proper disinfection, and I hope it gets inspected and shut down. The soundproofing is nonexistent. We could hear the neighbors and everything outside, as if the police were going right past our room. The surrounding area felt extremely unsafe and sketchy, with junkies and homeless people. The bathroom door wouldn't close properly, and the TV was right in front of the bed, so anyone with an athletic build would knock things over trying to get by. The €100 deposit felt shady. If you stay, my advice is to leave cash, since you get it back at checkout. Don't give them your card details. You only learn about this condition after paying and booking. The coffee and water vending machines in the lobby also only work with coins, not cards. They scanned our IDs on the first day. They should consider having guests fill out their own details on a form instead of storing personal data without signed consent.

The rooms were okay, and the staff were gentle and nice. It's near the city center, though a little noisy. Breakfast was good, if a bit expensive.

The room was dirty, with actual hair in the blankets, and the cheap sheets kept sliding off the mattress. It was tiny, barely big enough for a bed, and there were no windows. I had a patio door with a balcony behind it, but it was locked and I couldn't get out. After a shower, the room stayed humid for hours. The whole place felt old and badly maintained. Service was poor. I asked to switch rooms or get reimbursed, and they refused because I'd booked a non-refundable deal online. You can hear everyone on the floor, in and out of their rooms. There was no food, and breakfast was terrible. The location looks ideal at first, but it's poor for finding a bite or a drink, shopping, or sightseeing. You have to take the metro or walk 10-15 minutes to find anything decent. I'm not picky, but I've stayed in better places in the jungles of Colombia. Avoid it at all costs. Hotel retro right next door looks MUCH better and seems to be in the same price range.
