Breakfast at Café Wiltcher’s had a refined range of fresh, high-quality options in a bright, elegant room, a great start before a packed day in Brussels. At Loui Restaurant, Karima made us feel at home. She was warm and professional, and the service was amazing from start to finish. Patrick and the Concierge Team were incredibly attentive too. I even asked them to ease up a little, and their response made clear how much they value each guest and personalized service. A beautiful hotel with outstanding hospitality and memorable moments that make you want to come back.

Breakfast was a real frustration. On several mornings, staff seemed reluctant to serve oat lattes and sometimes suggested they weren’t serving hot drinks. Even when they took the request, we often had to ask two or three times before anything happened. Ordering coffee became awkward and needlessly difficult. One evening, we asked for cutlery in our room. It took three calls and more than an hour to arrive. That’s unacceptable for any hotel, especially one presenting itself as a luxury property. Across the stay, the service was shockingly poor. Staff often seemed dismissive, sometimes openly arrogant, and rarely welcoming or helpful. With the rates they charge, we expected basic courtesy, efficiency, and professionalism, but the hospitality fell far below that. Our stay at Hotel Steigenberger Wiltcher’s in Brussels was one of our most disappointing hotel experiences anywhere. We left frustrated and deeply disappointed, and wouldn’t consider returning.

Front Office Manager Romain Etienne went above and beyond with customer service. The staff were friendly and attentive, the amenities well maintained, and the noise was minimal, so it was peaceful. Rooms were clean and comfortable, with good value, and the hotel has a warm, relaxing atmosphere and an excellent location. Highly recommended!

The location made getting around easy, close to the city center and right by the tram station. You can hear some tram noise at night, though it didn’t bother me. I used the gym and spa, which had a great sauna and jacuzzi. I also spent the 85 euro property credit on whiskey at the bar. My room had a very comfortable bed, plus a complimentary minibar with champagne and soda and a free box of chocolates. The front desk arranged a 10:30 AM early check-in and upgraded my room. A staff member was exceptionally helpful and personally walked me there, explaining the layout. This was the most luxurious hotel I’ve stayed in, and I highly recommend booking through the American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts program.
