Le Chateau des Eglantines

The owners and staff were warm and very helpful, and the B&B itself is nice. Breakfast had coffee, plain yogurt with one homemade jam, two kinds of croissants, ham, hard cheese, scrambled eggs, and a grilled cheese toast. They clearly make an effort with fresh local items, but the selection is limited for €15 per person. Our jacuzzi room was clean, but very small. It had the tub and a washbasin, with no toilet in the room and no hairdryer, even though the listing said a hairdryer should be there. The shared toilet was out in the corridor, and other guests used it too, despite us being told it was just for our room. Since the key stayed attached to the door, we couldn't bring it back to the room to keep others from taking the toilet. Sometimes we might have had to wait if someone else was using it. We'd booked the most expensive room for a romantic stay, but having to get dressed and walk through the hall to use the toilet, where guests were still sitting and chatting, really spoiled that feeling. After a late soak, I also wanted to dry my damp hair, but there was no dryer. I didn't want to get dressed again and go downstairs to hunt for the owner or a night porter, after already having to leave the room for the toilet. The people were lovely, but we wouldn't book the jacuzzi room again. It wasn't the experience we wanted.

The host was wonderful, the rooms looked lovely, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was the best. I was so glad I ended up booking here after getting a flight from the wrong airport and having to change hotels.

It's about a 15-minute drive from the motorway, but honestly, the location is worth it!

😊😁😍 This is the best place I've ever seen.
