Les Trois Chênes

The garden was a real highlight: spacious, well kept, with a lovely sunny terrace. The house is large and sits in a very quiet spot, which suited our September 2025 trip with friends. Its rustic layout has a separate kitchen, dining room, and lounge. My room, though, felt dark and slightly damp, and sound and light came through the floorboards from downstairs. That made it less comfortable for me. This kind of place isn't really my taste, so I won't be back.

The garden didn't look nearly as cared for as it does in the pictures, which seem old and make the property appear better than it is. Inside, the rooms felt very damp. They need heating to dry out, and with the windows shut overnight I woke up with a sore throat. There was apparently a flood. The showers drained poorly and often smelled musty, like a sewer. And when the bath was emptied, water sometimes came back up into the sink.

A lovely choice for a big family gathering, with a large garden, sauna, and BBS. Inside there's plenty of room too: a roomy kitchen and dining area, two lounges, and a playroom. The holiday home is beautifully and comfortably furnished, with seven bedrooms. Five have their own bathroom and toilet; the other two share theirs.
