Everything we needed was already in the apartment, and it was clean throughout, from the kitchen and living room to the bedroom and bathroom. The neighborhood was pleasant and quiet. It turned out to be even nicer than I expected for a vacation stay, and I'd definitely come back.

The park nearby was quite nice, and the whole site has a bit of a 60s and 70s feel. It might suit adventurous young people who enjoy retro accommodation, but I wouldn't stay here again with the current owner. Compared with a beach house I stayed in near Odessa in Ukraine, Park Atlantis was much worse. The listing on Booking.com presents it as family-oriented, close to the beach, and welcoming to pets. That wasn't my experience. The rooms were dark, damp, and smelly, the cooker didn't work, the internet was down, and bed sheets weren't included for free. Noise from a nearby camp at 2 AM was unpleasant. The beach is about 2 km away. Pets need to be arranged in advance and may come with a special fee. Cats aren't allowed at all. The owner takes a 200 € deposit. Even though the responsible person checked the flat when we left, said everything was fine, and said the money would be returned, I didn't get it back. I also wouldn't expect a detailed invoice explaining the alleged damage or much help from Booking.com.

The setting has a lovely village feel, and the architecture is impressive. It's affordable, with the beach nearby. Bruges and Ostend are about 30 and 20 minutes away by car, respectively. The area is quite remote, so having your own vehicle makes a big difference. With a car, this is one of the best places to stay near Bruges.

The regular apartments were fairly clean. Just be aware that Wi-Fi is only available in the Dahlia rooms, and bring large sheets for the two single beds pushed together as a double.

It was so noisy from the apartments above and around us that I couldn't sleep, even with earplugs. The apartment had no soundproofing at all. The place also felt very old and outdated, like a Soviet Union camp. I wouldn't book this property.
