De Zandhoorn

Hi everyone, I wouldn’t recommend this place. After paying on site, we were asked for extra money for a duvet, pillow, towels, electricity and water. Cleaning was another €130-150, and there were large spiders and mold.

The house is set up for a big group, with a garage, loads of toys and board games, bikes and scooters, and a slide in the yard. There’s also a changing table, child toilet seats and high chairs. A fantastic playground for all ages is down the street, away from the center. Inside, the rooms have radiators, and there’s a fireplace too, though you have to buy the firewood at the hardware store. The kitchen has plenty of cooking and serving utensils, an oven, gas stove, microwave, kettle and dishwasher. There’s a washing machine and vacuum cleaner, two bathrooms, and a large bathroom with both a shower and bathtub. The furniture and furnishings should suit even picky tastes. It’s close to the city center and within walking distance of the sea, with grocery stores and Plopsaland about five minutes away by car. But after we moved out, getting the deposit back was difficult. The landlord never returned the money.

Really spacious and spotlessly clean, with everything you could need. The owner was warm and friendly.

Lovely house, though the stairs are really steep.
