The place felt unwelcoming and unpleasant, and the price seemed way too high. A weekend room costs 150 euros, late checkout until noon instead of 10 costs another 40, and breakfast is 30 euros even though it’s worth about 10. I’d avoid it and find a cheaper, better Airbnb.

The converted brewery is decorated beautifully, and breakfast there was great. The room was lovely too. It’s a wonderful B&B in a nice spot near Dendermonde, with Antwerp and Ghent easy to reach. We loved it.

Ingeborg is a fantastic host at this superb B&B. I’ve stayed a few times for short business trips, just a few nights each time, and I’ve always enjoyed it.

The friendly service makes you feel right at home, and it’s such a calm, relaxing place. If you’re driving outside rush hour, Brussels isn’t too far away. It worked perfectly for visiting Brussels expo without staying in a generic hotel.
