Bed Breakfast De Bijloke

The accommodation and location were great. We arrived late and the place wasn’t ready. There were no coffee pods and only one toilet roll, but it was easy to sort out the next day. Still, a review is a review.

The Hide is a cool spot in Ghent, with big, comfortable rooms. It was clean and had everything I needed. I’d recommend it for either a short visit or a longer stay.

My studio was quite spacious, very clean and nicely equipped, with a comfortable bed and heating that worked really well. The location was good too. The only small snag was that my entry code came through a bit late, which had me nervous for a while. After that, everything worked perfectly.

The garden looks out over the river, and the location is in a quieter area away from the tourist bustle. You can walk to the city highlights, bars and restaurants, and the tram from the main station or park and ride at Expo is convenient too. It’s also easy to reach by car via LEZ, with private parking on site. As a Ghent local, I’d definitely recommend staying here. I spent some time in the lounge and got to see a few rooms. Babs is an amazing host, and whenever she’s available she gives you a warm welcome and is happy to share local secrets.
